How Does the Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118428 Connect to a 2002 Toyota Camry Turn/Brake Circuit
Updated 03/28/2011 | Published 03/27/2011 >
Question:
Which wires do I use for wiring the trailer lights? On the right side I have two wires-yellow and yellow/brown. On the left side there are green and green/brown. I assume that with only one internal wire in the amber running lights, that the ground is formed through the connecting screws. If you wouldnt mind, kindly tell me the functions of the two wires, since they are repeated through the two sides. I believe that the brown/green and the yellow/green combinations share the same function-one on the left and one on the right. Thank you,

To install this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118308, you will first locate the vehicle wiring in the trunk by removing separate the vehicle wiring connectors on the driver side and install the harness that contains the yellow wires.
On the passenger side you will repeat the same process as above with the green wire connector.
These connectors should fit in line with the tail lights that are on your 2002 Toyota Camry. You should be able to just undue the connectors and put the two connectors inline.
I attached installation instructions for this product below for you to check out.
The two wires represent the two functions that are on each circuit. One of the wires will be for the brake/turn signal and the other will be for the running light.
From there, the signal will get reduced to one wire instead of two and will be sent to the converter and then out of the converter as the four way connector for your trailer.
This wiring harness will be grounded through the white wire to any suitable grounding point near the connector such as the vehicle's frame or cross member.
