Recommended Coupler Lock For Adjustable Ball Coupler

My coupler has a hand tighter wheel that you turn to clamp around the ball not the latch type that you push down and put a safety pin in can I use the hitch lock for this type of coupler? I like the idea of this lock but was also looking into a coupler guard that prevents the coupler coming off the ball.

The HITCH-LOCK Trailer Guard Coupler Lock by Dutton-Lainson # DL13980 is a great option for both keeping your trailer coupler locked in place and deterred from theft. You of course need an external padlock like the Master Lock Padlock # ML1KA for this application.
If you are just looking for a lock when the trailer is not coupled, I recommend the Trailer Coupler Lock - Gorilla Guard for 2" Couplers # 63228 or # 63227 in 2-5/16 inch.
