Does 12V Power Feed on Vehicle 7-Way Remain Active at All Times

Question:

I purchased the hitch you recommended, along with a Curt Adapter, C57674 and a Tekonsha Primus IQ TK90160. Had them installed at Chevy dealership and on the adapter with test lights, the one that shows power to 12 volt constantly stays lit. Is it supposed to? Thanks

Vehicle 7-way trailer connectors include a 12V auxiliary power feed for the trailer that may remain on at all times, or be controlled by the position of the ignition key. This varies by vehicle make and model and how that circuit was wired. Some people may want that circuit active at all times, depending on their application.

You just want to keep in mind that as long as your trailer is plugged in to the vehicle socket anything on the trailer that wants to draw power from the vehicle will do so.
