Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 375054 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75054 which is a 2 inch receiver. It has 3,500 lbs GTW and 550 lbs TW weight ratings unless you use a Weight Distribution system, then those ratings are increased to 5,500 lbs GTW and 550 lbs TW. Drilling may be required on models equipped with a frame-mounted, closed-sided, steel skid shield.
Two-inch receivers because they have more options when it comes to accessories.
I have included some installation videos for you to review as well.
