In the description of trailer hitch C12044 it states ... Note: All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. What stabilizing straps are they referring to? Specifically for a bike rack. 2005, Buick LeSabre

The most common stabilizer strap to use with Curt hitches is the Curt strap part # 18050 which connects to the vehicle and the rack. I attached a couple install videos that show how it works as well.
