Question:
Hi, I have a Dexter Predator Series E/H1600 brake controller on a fifth wheel. When the unit is plugged into the truck there is a constant pulsing sound. Do you know if this is normal? Thanks

Brake controllers will pulse a very small amount of voltage on the brake output circuit as a way to test to see if a brake controller is connected or not. Sounds like you are hearing that pulse activate the braking system.
As long as the brakes are working like they should everything would be fine.
