Is Brake Pedal Required When Setting Initial Braking Level on Prodigy P2
Updated 05/24/2017 | Published 05/22/2017 >
Question:
Once I set the the brake control setting using the manual over ride lever and adjust the dial to the correct setting do i activate the trailer brakes using the brake pedal on my tow vehicle?. Also when initially establishing the correct setting traveling 25 mph, do i just use the override lever on the p2 without using the brake in my truck or do i do both simultaneously? Thank you

Once you set the proper gain level on your P2 # 90885 using the manual override lever to determine exactly how much braking power is being applied you would not be required to use the brake pedal at the same time.
The brake pedal will activate the brakes as in relation to how hard you press the brakes. But it's not required for gain level setting. You still would want to try applying the brakes like normal to test to see how the overall braking action is though.
