Question:
I have a 2001 GMC Savana SLE 2500 with the towing package. I found the three wires in the rear of the van, blue, orange and white for the 7 blade trailer connector. Where are the wires located for the electric brake hook up in the drivers compartment?

Helpful Expert Reply:
On your 2001 GMC Savana there is a blue wire under the dash that is used for the blue wire of a brake controller. It is located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal.
Some models will require a wiring kit to run wire to the battery. This may require drilling a hole in the firewall to run the wire. You may use kit # 5506 which includes 20, 30, and 40 amp breakers.
