The Curt Class II ball mount, part # C45521, is what is recommended with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C12185, on your 2017 Chevrolet Malibu Premier. However, to find the correct ball mount for your trailer you should find the rise or drop you need by measuring. I've linked an article to help you with this, plus I've also linked our selection on ball mounts that will fit the Curt hitch receiver.
In addition you'll need a trailer wiring harness. The Curt # C56313 fits your Premier. It plugs into the factory connectors behind both tail lights. Then you'll need to run a wire to the car's battery.
