Compatibility of SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer With Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Updated 04/12/2017 | Published 04/10/2017

Question:

My truck is a 2013 GMC XLT with a 6.2 L eng. My trailer is a 2010 Nash, with a gross wt. of 10,800 lbs. I have Super Springs on the truck but still get enough sag that the trailer is not riding level . My hitch is a Hensley with the highest rise they make. 2 questions. Will installing firestone air gags level things out? And can the bags be installed with the Super Springs in place? Your advise will be appreciated.

I looked up your account to determine that the SuperSprings Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit - OEM Leaf Springs Above Axle # SSA5MTKT is not the style of SuperSprings mounted in the jounce spring location. You can install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2430 with those SuperSprings in place as they don't connect at the same location and will not interfere with each other. The Firestone air springs will help to level out your truck so your headlights will shoot straight and the ride of your truck will be more normal when hauling your 2010 Nash trailer.

The Firestone air springs will come with manual inflation valves, but you can add the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor - Single Function - 130 psi # F2158 if you want to give you a compressor and adjustability with an in-cab gauge and switch.
