I have a 2016 RAM w/ a 5 foot 7inch bed. I have the factory plastic rails on the top of my bed. Will this fit on top of the rails?

Yes, the TruXedo TruXport Tonneau cover # TX245901 will fit your 2016 Ram 1500 5-1/2 foot bed with the factory rail caps. A lot of trucks have those caps now so Tonneau cover manufacturers have designed the covers to work with them.
