Expert Reply:
To install the Thule K-Summit Tire Chains like # TH02230K23, you will not have to jack up the car for installation. These chains are self-centering and self-tensioning. You will not have to remove the lug nut when attaching the center part of the chains. This set comes with a 17mm and 19mm attachment piece that fits over the lug nut.
We actually have a video showing how these chains work. I have provided a link to the video for you to view. I have also included a link to the Thule tire chains FAQ and a link to our tire chain general information FAQ for reference. You will also need to check your owners manual to determine if chains can be used and if there are any restrictions or recommendations.
The TH02230K23 chains will fit the 2010 and 2011 Toyota Prius with 195/65-15 tires. Otherwise, you would need the Premium Self-adjusting Snow Tire Chains, # TH02230K22.
