The correct fit of a hitch ball on a ball mount depends on the ball's shank length and shank diameter. These dimensions matter because the shank has to fit the ball hole in a ball mount. All of our 1-7/8-inch hitch balls are shown on the linked page. These have shank diameters ranging from 5/8-inch up to 3/4-inch and shank lengths from 1-5/8-inch to 3-3/8-inches.
