Question:

If this tonneau attached on the inside of the side rails, is it still possible to secure large items in bed along rails securely or will this damage rail attachments?

The Access Toolbox Edition Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # 834532001859 does install inside the bed rails, rather than on top of them as other covers do, but these rails are not intended as points for securing other cargo that is inside the bed. The installed cover will sit above the bed rails (about 2-inches above them) but the cover itself is not intended to support weight.

Please note that this cover fits only Dodge and Ram long bed trucks, not your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 long bed.
