We do not have any tailgate assist products that are a confirmed fit for your 2005 Chevy Avalanche, however, based on your model year, the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 may be compatible according to my contact at Hopkins. It hasn't been tested on your vehicle that is why a fit or a lack of fit cannot be confirmed. We have had customers with Avalanche models as close to yours as 2004 say it fits perfectly.
