Question:

I want a Front mount 2inch hitch for a 92 Chevy G30 cutaway van which has the same frame as the G20 and wasnt changed till 96 acc. to my info. A couple suppliers say the Curt 31016 fits and other sources say no

Curt front-mount hitch # C31016 is specified to fit certain GMC and Chevrolet vans and RV cutaways but not until the 1996 model year. I show no custom-fit front-mount hitches for this vehicle, only rear-mount hitches from Draw-Tite, # 75121 and # 41121 for vans without the step bumper.

I also checked directly with Curt and Draw-Tite and neither shows any front hitch fits. My Curt contact suggested a universal-fit RV-type hitch as a possible work-around.

We do offer several adjustable/universal-fit 2-inch hitches intended for installation on an RV frame. Each of these fits a range of frame widths; some are bolt-on or weld-on while one, Ultra-Fab # UF35-946403, is a weld-on-only installation. This unit welds onto I-beam, C-channel or rectangular frames.
