Question:
I have 2016 Toyota Tundra. I do not have any wiring for a trailer installed presently. Can you recommend a product where I can add trailer wiring and utilize the knockout on the bumper that is available to install a socket?

For your 2016 Toyota we will first want to get you that 4 way connection by using the Hopkins Plug in Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, # HM11141835. Next, we will want the 7 way plug that fits in that knockout you mentioned. I suggest the Pollak 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring - Vehicle End, # HM40975-11998, and splicing this into your 4-way. This will give you the 4-way trailer function with a factory look.
Then to get the full function of your 7 way connector, I recommend the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers, # 5506. This kit will include the wire, the circuit breakers and the attaching terminals you need to install a brake controller in your Tundra. I've attached a video of this installation for you.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195. This is a proportional brake controller that applies the brakes to your trailer with the same amount of force as you apply the brakes to your tow vehicle. This brake controller also has an easy to read LCD display that takes the guess work out and dismisses the need to decipher codes. It also has 3 boost funtions for you to choose based on your needs.
These parts will give you everything you need to tow a trailer with brakes and give you that factory connection look.
