Question:

Have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 Overland with V-6, air suspension feature and it is a 4 x 4. Pulling a Saturn Outlook @ present. Would like a base plate that is not seen other than the holes I see now on the Saturn. Is there a MX base plate available?

For the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Roadmaster offer the # RM-521440-5 base plate kit. The base plates will fit all models with the exception of the SRT-8. Some trimming of the lower air dam or under bumper fascia may be required.

No MX base plates are available, but the EZ base plates feature removable draw bars, which just twist in or out for ease of use. You should only see the receiver openings once you remove the draw bars after towing, just like you see on your Outlook.

Not all Grand Cherokee models are capable of being flat towed. If your GC has the Quadra-Trac I single speed transfer case, flat towing is NOT allowed per the owners manual. If your GC has the Quadra-Trac II, Quadra-Drive II or Selec-Terrain four wheel drive system, you CAN flat tow the vehicle, but only by EXACTLY following the procedures outlined in the Recreational Towing section of the owners manual, which I found on page 61-62.
