Question:
Hi - I have a 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE with chrome roof rails. The rails have a couple panels that I believe cover mounting locations for cross bars. Im looking for a rack system that would enable me to carry skis this winter. What can you recommend?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2016 Toyota Highlander with fixed mounting points in the factory side rails I recommend Rhino-Rack roof rack # RRRVP31. This is an all-in-one rack so there are no additional parts you will need to be; it comes with everything. The black bars and aero shape make this roof rack look more like a factory rack than many other roof rack options.
There are several ski carriers that are compatible with this roof rack. For 6 skis you can use the larger carrier # RR576. For 4 skis you can use the smaller version # RR574. Both carriers can be locked to deter theft of the skis. I have linked a video review for you.
