Question:
We dont have a lift to raise the car and work underneath it as you show in the video. It makes it a little tight to run the wire from the back to the battery in the engine compartment up front. Would you ask a local mechanic if you could pull in one of their work stalls? Or would you ask around to see if a neighbor might have on their garage that you could use if you drove over there? Or what would make it easier to work from the ground?

I have a solution for you below, but you could go to a local garage and see what they say, more than likely they will not allow it because of liability reasons. The might offer to install it for you at a price.
We do offer car service ramps like the Race Ramps # RR-XT-2 or the more economical for occasional use the FloTool # FT11912MI.
Your 2011 Mazda CX-9 weighs up to 4,546lbs so you will want to keep this in mind while looking at ramps capacities. Both ramps will work for helping out with installing your Curt wiring harness # 56016 power wire routing.
I have linked all the above mentioned products as well as a few installation videos for you to check out.
