To install cargo basket like the Thule # TH859XT to your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe you will need crossbars as well as the factory installed panoramic rails that run from front to back of the vehicle.
I recommend the Thule WingBar Roof Rack System for your 2017 Santa Fe which is made up of parts # TH710501 and # TH145059.
