Question:
you say this light can be wired to be a marker light but can you add power to the third wire and it changes to a strobe while power still flows to the other wire. reason wide load trucks must travel with their lights on and if I have it wired as a marker light then throw power to it as a strobe will it strobe.

On the Custer 4-LED Strobe Light or Running Light # STRL4A the black wire powers the steady-on running light and if power is applied to the red wire the strobe effect is activated. The white wire is of course the ground.
A signal on the red wire will override the steady-on running light signal on the black wire and cause the unit to strobe, according to my contact at Custer. I actually went to our warehouse and tested the light and it operates as stated. LEDs are always on when the black wire gets power; signal on the red wire overrides this and causes all 4 LEDs to strobe.
The same wiring configuration applies to lights # STRL4W (white LEDs) and # STRL4R (red) which also offer the strobe function.
