Question:
I have a 2015 Malibu LT. Is the wire kit C56176 correct? The ad cautions that it will not work on the LTZ. Mine is just an LT.

Yes, the Curt 4-pole wiring harness # C56176 is a confirmed fit on your 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LT. I confirmed this with Curt. The harness can deliver a substantial maximum current of 7.5-amps per circuit, more than some competing harnesses, which means less chance of a trailer overloading the converter.
Installation is mostly a plug-in process at the LT's taillights, but for the one wire you'll actually have to splice I have linked a helpful article (and video) that will show you the entire process and provide tips for routing that one black 12V power wire up to the engine compartment.
