Why Must TorkLift HiddenPower Battery Box Install on Driver-Side Frame on 2010 Ford E-250
Published 07/12/2016 >
Question:
I was looking under my driver side on my 2010 E250 and I noticed the parking brake cable is strung along the driver side frame. Can this fit on the passenger side? Or does the torklift frame account for the parking brake cable?

I spoke with my contact at TorkLift and confirmed that the TorkLift HiddenPower Under-Vehicle Battery Mount with Battery Box # TLA7729 needs to be mounted on the driver's side frame rail. Before installing the battery box you will want to adjust the route of the parking brake cable so the box does not interfere.
The battery box cannot be mounted on the passenger side frame rail because of interferences such as the passenger side step/running boards under the side door.
