4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness for 2006 Chevrolet Uplander Without Tow Prep Package
Published 07/06/2016 >
Question:
I purchased CURT 56077 Wiring T Connectors for my 2006 Chev Uplander LT. It did not fit and looks like I might need the Tow Ready B118396 KIT. When I enter Uplander 2006 the CURT 56077 comes up as the correct connector but it will not fit into my connector on the Uplander. Can you tell me why so much info is published telling me the CURT 56077 is correct when the dealer is telling me they say Tow Ready B118396. I am in a hurry for info. Thanks in advance.

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your 2006 Chevrolet Uplander has a tow package connector behind the rear driver's side trim panel then Curt harness # 56077 is the correct wiring harness. It sounds like you have checked and have no such connector. If there is no tow package connector there then you can still install Tow Ready 4-Pole Harness # 118396 which will instead plug in behind each of the two taillight assemblies.
The linked video shows this harness installed in a 2006 Uplander like yours.
