Question:
Is there a harness to use for installation on this vehicle, or do I need to follow the directions for a 2013 1500 like your video shows?

Expert Reply:
There is no quick-connect brake controller port under the dash on your 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche so your installation of a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 will require connection at the bundle of wires located below the steering column, to the left of the brake pedal. These are shown in the linked article and video. These wires connect to the controller as follows:
Vehicle Red to Controller Black
Vehicle Dark Blue to Controller Blue
Vehicle Light Blue or Orange to Controller Red
Vehicle White to Controller White
Additional connections will be needed within the engine compartment and these are detailed in the linked article. The linked video will also help your installation.
