How much will this hitch lower my clearance?

Once installed the Curt front receiver # 31241 will be directly below the front fascia on your 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, see diagram. It will hand down from that point approximately 2-1/2 inches. So measure from the ground to the bottom of the front fascia and subtract 2-1/2 inches to get a good approximation of ground clearance.
