Can Fulton F2 3000-lb Winch Be Switched From Right-Hand To Left-Hand Operation

Question:

The features listed on this winch states that Switch from right- to left-handed drive configuration Can you confirm that the unit that you ship can be switched from right to left hand operation? I recently bought what looks like the identical unit from an online retailer and although the instructions state that the handle can be switched from right to left and provided a procedure for switching the handle from side to side, the procedure did not work on the unit that I received and it doesnt look to me like the winch supports switching the handle. I need to be able to switch the handles from right to left. If you can confirm that the unit that you ship can switch the handle from right to left, I will place an order with etrailer for one. Thanks in advance for your response.

The # FW32000101 winch from Fulton does not have a left-hand and right-hand feature. The handle will only fit on one side of the winch and cannot be moved to the other side.

We do have an enclosed winch like part # FW20000301 that does have the feature you mentioned. This is a 2,000-lb winch and it has a dual gear drum.
