Question:
What trailer hitch do you recommend to put on my 2004 Chevy Malibu classic? I will be hauling a riding lawnmower , total weight is around 1,200lbs

Expert Reply:
The trailer hitch available for your 2004 Malibu is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C12272.
This is a Class ll trailer hitch, and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. Since you said you will be hauling a riding lawnmower and the weight is about 1,200-lbs it will need to be on a trailer. For a hitch ball mount, I recommend part # C45521. This will need hitch pin and clip # F-4.
You will also need a trailer hitch ball. If you need a 1-7/8 inch ball I recommend part # 19256, and for a 2-inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19258.
To tow a trailer, you will also need trailer wiring if you do not have it. I recommend a wiring harness like part # 119178KIT.
