Where Does Converter Box of Tow Ready Wiring 118253 Install on a 2012 Honda Ridgeline RT

Question:
Will product #118253 work with a pre-wired 2012 Honda Ridgeline? I have located the gray factory plug/ harness at the rear of the vehicle but, I am wondering where the black box that comes with you product would get plugged into since the Ridgeline does not have the same storage compartment as the Pilot does at the rear of the vehicle.

Expert Reply:
The 7-Way Harness part # 118253 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2012 Honda Ridgeline. I spoke with my contact at Tow Ready and he said that the harness that the black converter box plugs into on your vehicle is behind the kick plate on the driver side. So the panel to left of where the driver's feet will be is what you would need to remove to install the box.

My 2012 Honda Ridgeline is factory wired for towing with a 7 pin outlet. I would like to get connector with a 4 pin flat plug to run a rear light bar on the truck. And still pull our trailer with the 7 pin plugged in for lights on the trailer.
