will any standard turnbuckles work or do you need special ones? The person I am buying the camper from has turnbuckles from her truck install.

As long as the turnbuckles are longer and designed for attaching to a frame mounted hold down like the part # TLF3006 then they would work fine. They would need metal hooks like the part # TLS9526-2-LK as well which has a reach of 25-43 inches.
