Will Curt Hitch 11074 Fit a 2007 Volkswagen GTI with Ground Effects

Question:

I have a 2007 VW GTI with ground effects. Will this hitch install with ground effects: Curt Class I Round Tube Receiver Hitch. Thanks

Curt hitch, part 11074, was designed to fit the factory body trims. If the ground effects you have are aftermarket or dealer installed, the hitch may not fit. I have added a link to the instructions for the hitch below that include a profile diagram of where the hitch sits in relation to the rear bumper cover and some of the undercarriage.

Take a close look at the diagram and compare it to the body on your GTI. It should give you some insight as to whether or not the hitch will fit.
