For your 2003 Mercedes E320 wagon trailer hitch # C11820 is the correct fit. This is for models built on the W211 chassis. There may have been some models built on the older W210 chassis. If you determine that you have one of them then the correct hitch is # C11830.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.

If you want to tow then the correct ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # A-80 and for a 2 inch ball use # A-82. And for trailer wiring I recommend the ZCI harness # 119250KIT because it does not require splicing into the vehicle wiring for installation.
