Question:
I purchased a 2011 sierra truck that has a Hopkins brake control already installed in it. I have a more reliable Tekonsha brake control. Can I just unplug the Hopkins and plug in the Tekonsha control ? Is the plug compatible ? I have the Hopkins Brake Force # 47225 in the truck now but can I unplug that unit and plug in the Tekonsha Prodigy # 90885 to the same plug ?

Good news. I have a solution for you but you will not be able to use the same plug for the P2 # 90885 as you did for the Hopkins Brake Force.
There is a connector that will come with the # 90885 that you will want to just snip off the end of your old Hopkins Brake Force wiring adapter and splice this one in. If you already have the P2 # 90885 and are just in need of the adapter it is also sold separately as # 7894.
I have linked the above mentioned parts as well as an image of this for you to better see what I'm explaining for your convenience.
