Yes, the Kuat Sherpa part # SH22G that you referenced will fit your 2014 BMW X1 well that has a hitch installed on it. This is an excellent bike rack that will only contact your bikes at the tires which is nice for bikes with carbon frames or paint jobs that you don't want touched.
It sounds like you already have a hitch, but in case you didn't the Hidden Hitch part # 75761 would be the one to use as it has been confirmed as a fit.
