Question:
If I put a trailer hitch with a rating of 350 pounds of tongue weight on my Dodge Nitro, can I then carry a 150 pound scooter with a 150 scooter lift?

A 350 lb tongue weight capacity trailer hitch would have the hitch capacity for a 300 lb carrier and scooter setup.
You would also need to consider the tongue weight rating of the vehicle too and be sure not to exceed this figure as well. I looked up your 2011 Dodge Nitro and at least a couple versions of it had enough capacity for this. But you will need to consult your owners manual to determine for sure if your specific model is rated for it.
It sounds like you are referring to the Curt hitch part # 13334 as it has been confirmed as a fit for your vehicle and has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity.
