Question:
I have a 2006 GMC Envoy 7 passenger SUV. I travel on gravel roads more than I care to and would like a 6inch step running board. What would the cost be and are they difficult to install? The main purpose is not the step but to protect the rocker panels.

The best recommendation I can make to protect the rocker panels of your 2006 GMC Envoy would be to install mudflaps like part # HL56341 and # HL57341. And then if you wanted 6 inch wide running boards confirmed to fit your vehicle you would want the # 27-6125-1355.
Cost for all products are at the product links. Install really wouldn't be too bad. If you can turn wrenches and have basic tools you would be fine.
The DeeZee # DZ1040 that you referenced has not been confirmed to fit your vehicle so it would not fit.
