The Draw-Tite Class I Frame Trailer Hitch, item # 24805, is bolted to the vehicle frame using existing holes. No drilling or welding is required. All installation hardware to connect the hitch to the vehicle is included. You will need to trim a small amount the heat shield around an attachment hole (see helpful links).

The hitch has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds. You will need to check your owners manual for the towing capacities of your vehicle.

A transmission cooler is a good idea. No matter whether you are towing or not, the cooler your transmission fluid remains the longer the transmission will last. If towing trailers that are close to the vehicles maximum tow rating a transmission cooler is recommended in most cases, especially on smaller vehicles. We have an installation video for you to review and the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13502, should fit on your vehicle. You will need to measure to determine if there is room in front of your vehicles air conditioning condenser or radiator to install the cooler.

The use of aftermarket products is protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something fails on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless the failed item was the direct cause of the failure.

That being said you should consult your dealer for towing capacities and information about towing and your warranty on the 2010 Ford Focus.

Some items you may need to complete your Class I towing setup are listed below.

Drawbar # 3593
Hitch Ball 1-7/8 inch, item # 19256
Hitch Ball 2 inch, item # 19258
Hitch Lock, item # e98879
Trailer Wiring Harness, item # 118457
