Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2013 Ford Explorer with 255/50R20 Tires On Snowy Gravel Roads
Question:
I have a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited with 4 wheel drive. Tire size is 255/50 20 r. I have need for use on gravel mountain roads with potential for several inches of snow at times. Are these the appropriate chains for this vehicle? Do I need chains for all 4 wheels?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your tire size of 255/50R20 the Titan Chains part # TC2324 have been confirmed as a fit. They would do great on gravel roads with several inches of snow on them. These chains are considered on-road chains, but that would mean you would want to take them off of either a gravel or paved road as they may not be aggressive enough for that.
I attached a review video for this chain for you to check out as well. You will want to check the owners manual of your truck to determine if there are any restrictions on tire chain use as well.
