Question:

Hi, I got a 07 f150, 5.4 it or, I had a kandn cai and a afe tb spacer, I installed this edge device the 15051, I only want it for the # 1 setting for the transmission mode and to be able to change the tire size, now I am hearing that this unit might make the truck run too lean and make it stall, if this is the case which one would I get?

According to my Edge representative, using an older tuner like the # EP15051 in conjunction with a CAI kit can indeed cause the engine to run excessively lean and stall out. A CAI by itself can cause an engine to run a bit leaner, but when a tuner like the Evolution # EP15051 can make the lean condition worse.

Newer tuners like the CTS2 # EP85450 and the CS2 # EP85350 actually offer a CAI-dedicated tune that will adjust for the CAI and prevent the engine from running too lean. A transmission only mode is also offered and you will be able to adjust for tires size.

A dash pod is also available, part # EP18551 which would allow you to use the CS2.
