Could the Replacement Hardware Y8840018 Get Locked to a Roof Rack
Published 12/31/2015 >
Question:
Will any of the locking units like the Hi-Lift Mount Lock Part Number: H/LHM-LK work with the Y8840018 Replacement Hardware Bag for Yakima Mako Saddles, LandShark Saddles, HullRaiser or Kayak Stacker

Expert Reply:
The roof rack accessories that the # Y8840018 that you referenced fits are considered non-locking carriers which means that Yakima does not have lock specifically built into the rack.
But I am sure you could come up with a way to secure the racks to crossbars with a cable lock like the part # 8291DPS. You would just need to route the cable through the rack and around the crossbars.
