Question:
Can I use a converter to convert my 7-way electrical receiver to a 6-way without losing any braking, or lighting capabilities on my trailer?

Yes, you can use adapter your 7-way on your vehicle to work with a 6-way on the trailer and not loose the braking ability or light functions. You will loose the auxiliary function if it is currently being used. You may use the Adapter 7 Pole to 6 Pole - Universal, item # 37549, or the Adapter 7 Pole to 6 Pole and 4 Pole with Cover - Universal, item # 47565.
