N172 is the number on the barrel of my Thule, need new key do I order with that number

Yes, you are correct that for a Thule lock core with number N172 on it you will use the replacement key part # THKEYN172. This key will work in both Thule and SportRack brand carriers and racks that use this specific lock core.

The keys are sold individually so you might want to order an extra as a spare. We also offer the replacement N172 lock core, which is part # THLOCKN172.
