Fit of Cipa # CM10200 Slide On Towing Mirrors on 1989 Chevy K2500 Truck

Question:
I just purchased a set of CM10200 for my 1989 chevrolet k2500 they dont seem to fit my mirrors properly any Ideas?

The Cipa # CM10200 slide-on towing mirrors are designed to fit stock mirrors that are shown in the photo I provided. If your mirrors aren't like what's shown in the photo, they will not fit.
What exactly is the fit issue? Do the mirrors just not fit over the existing mirrors?
