Question:

I have a 2012 outback that I installed a trailer brake controller on. Im verifying what color the wire is I am supposed to tap into at the brake pedal. We tapped the lite green wire.

On your 2012 Subaru Outback the correct brake switch wire to tap into when installing a brake controller is likely going to be a brown wire with a yellow stripe. But to verify the correct wire you can use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the brake switch wires.

You will need the wire that only has power when the brake pedal is pressed. If the wire has power with the headlights or turn signals on, then it is not the correct wire.
