Question:
Can you add factory trailer brake to 2015 Chevy 1500 LTZ? I looked at 4 different trucks at the dealership, I thought the one I ended up with had the integrated trailer brakes. I didnt use them a lot on my last truck, but it would be nice to have every once in a while.

Yes, you can add a brake controller to a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
To install the controller all you would need is the correct install harness, part # 3016. Simply plug one end of the adapter into your brake controller and then plug the other end into the built-in harness beneath your vehicle's dash.
