Recommended Fifth Wheel Hitch and Base Rails to Tow Fifth Wheel with 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:

I am going to move 2004 Mobile Suites 36 TK3 fifth wheel trailer to Texas. I own a 2005 F250 King Ranch 4x4 6foot 5inch bed with the 6.0 diesel engine. The trailer has a Leland AF 7921 Kingpin. I would like to know which Demco slide hitch will work with this truck/kingpin combination. I do not care if the hitch takes up the bed therefore I dont need under bed rails as far as I know. Additionally I would like to know which Firestone Air Bag unit would work with the above setup as I would like to keep the ride level.

The fifth wheel hitch and base rails I recommend is the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Ultra Slide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM6076P-UL-21K and Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Semi-Custom Install Kit # DM8552001-71. The slider on this hitch will help eliminate clearance concerns during slow-speed turns on your trip to Texas. This hitch has a gross towing weight of 21,000 lbs and a vertical load limit of 5,250 lbs.

Since you have a 4 wheel drive F-250 you will want Firestone Vehicle Suspension for the 2005 F 250 Super Duty by Ford, # F2400, for your truck.

We have online instructions for you to review that show specific mounting locations for these kits. These kits install on the inside of the truck frame so there should be no interference with the fifth-wheel installed on your vehicle.
