2006 Toyota RAV4 Transmission Cooler Recommendation
Updated 07/13/2015 | Published 07/10/2015 >
Question:
I was looking for a transmission cooler but since I have a 4 cyl I cant seem to find the cooler lines for the install. Do you know if the 4 cyl RAV4 sport has a cooler? If so what would you recommend for towing a 1500lb camper trailer? Thanks.

As long as the transmission of your 2006 Toyota RAV4 has external lines you can install a transmission cooler. If you find the radiator there should be two metal lines that run to it that would be used for the factory cooler. You can also check out the transmission, if you find lines running from it those can be used for installing a cooler.
The part # D12906 is a very popular option that would work well as long as you have room for it. I actually have it on my car and it does a great job keeping the transmission fluid cool. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
