It sounds like you meant to type the ER code that would be on an Activator IV part # 5504. That indicates that there is an internal problem and the controller would need to be replaced.

My Brake Controller Activator IV part # 5504. is showing a ER code i cleaned everything up plugs and connectors and still get the ER code, my controller is just one year old
