Activator Brake Controller Locks Up Trailer Brakes with Light Pressure on Brake Pedal

Question:

When I use my 1999 Sub and pull this trailer my Trailer brakes lock up if I touch my brake pedal a little.,I did notice that my synk control on the side was pushed about half way, would that make a differents ? on this controller but when I use my 2006 Chev Truck the trailr brakes work find . I have a different kind of controller in the truck. and I dont have any problems ? Where should I look next ?

It does sound like your Activator brake controller # 5504 is set too aggressively. This can happen if you accidently bumped the controller and didn't realize it. If you adjust the Sync lever towards the front of the controller the brakes will be less aggressive. You can also adjust the output lever on the front of the controller more to the right.
